“He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.”
~ Psalm 40:3 (ESV)
Although today was a rather frustrating day at work and some minor glitches with my web-hosting company, I choose to praise His name. His name is above any other name – the King of kings – Lord of lords. Here is my thankful list for this week–chime in with me 😛 …
- I am thankful that the Lord puts a new song on my lips every single day. No matter how the day goes, how yucky I might feel…He alone is worthy of my praise
- I am thankful that I received Crystal’s CD yesterday in the mail — oh, girls, if you have not ordered yet, I encourage you to get it. Praising Him with Crystal is something worth while…
- I am thankful that Darlene had encouraging words for me over the last couple of days. Speaking of Darlene…She has a neat little contest going on her blog AND you can win an IPod Shuffle. Check it out …
- I am thankful that I am able to take a shower anytime I like…
- I am thankful that we have food on the table every.single.day …
- I am thankful that my Sweetheart still loves me and desires me, even though I’ll be 47 in four week *sigh*…
- I am thankful that I have a roof over my head and don’t have to sleep under the stars…
- I am thankful for friends who are encouraging and praying for me, especially when I am down …
- AND of course I am very, very thankful that my vacation is nearing — only 4 more weeks to go YEAH!!!!
What are you thankful for this week? Please do share with us. Link below (and make sure the link works – pretty please). Also, when you have time on the weekend, please try to visit the ‘late-comers’…
Now I just have to write a good schedule for LWG’s devotional team so that I don’t get myself into a pickle again 😀 . Speaking of LWG — when you think of the team, would you pray for us? That we continue to let His light shine…Thanks a bunch.
Blessings on your Thursday and as always…

I wish you and your husband experience this most romantic thing. And of course the Lord will strengten you to go to everywhere you want even you are really old after so so so many years later…:)
I love your list dear one.

I agree with your thankfuls!—However…since my hubby isn’t sure when he can take vacation…..I haven’t put mine on the calendar yet!
Have a blessed day/weekend
Psalm 40:3 is part of one of my favorite Bible passages…Psalm 40:1-5. Thank you for bringing it to the forefront of my mind today!
I just posted giving you a Blogger Reflection Award at my blog. I know that it is far from the first for you, but I had to include you anyway! You have been such an encouragement to me, and I am thankful for *you*!
Jennifer
I am a new blogger and tried last week to participate in TT but had to get some help from my friend Susanne… so this is my first week and I have been looking forward to it all week long. Well, I work at night and last night, I had one of my friends just throw me in the dirt and kick sand in my face. I came home with a burdened heart and God used TT to pick me back up! I am thankful for this ministry.
Once again…blessed by your list! Thank you for hosting.
I am happy to have found this meme because it motivates me to stop to think…really thing…about things I’m thankful for…large or small…spectacular or ordinary.
So much to be thankful in Christ, even when we’re hurting. God bless you for hosting this. Loved your list!
Hi Iris, I think it always lifts the spirit when we choose to praise. Good for you!! I’m glad your vacation is almost here. That’s really something to look forward to. Your thankful heart always blesses mine.
Thank you for doing this. It has encouraged me in baby steps to spend more time with the Lord and to be thankful in everything!! Blessings!!
You have a great list to be thankful for. Mine is up, and thanks for doing this. I’ll be praying for you and the devotional team.

I am so looking forward to Crystal’s CD! Iris….we must have very close birthdays! Mine is in 4 weeks as well and I will be 47! Maybe we are twins!
Thanks so much for hosting this! It is a great reminder of different things to be thankful for each week. I will be back weekly!
Wow, looks like I’m not the only first-timer! That was a wonderful list and a terrific reminder that we choose to let problems get to us, or choose to remember that we serve a Sovereign Lord who’s in control! Looking forward to making my way through the list (over the next couple days, I’m sure…slow computer!)
I am also thankful that I can take a shower anytime I want… Which is what I’m about to do! Great list!

Oh, the song on your lips… despite how terrible the day may seem…but God makes a difference. That’s so true. And I’m glad.
I like it a lot about your partner loving and desiring you despite the age. Sweet. It truthfully brought a smile on my face.
And how good it is you have a vacation in the offing. Great. Sure I could use one too. lol
Great list!! Thanks for hosting!
Iris, hang in there. Fall will be in the air before you know it & you’ll be enjoying a nice, relaxing, COOL vacation! Blessings to you this week.
