On the morning of March 23, 1991 I received the worst phone call to date…My dad had passed away battling cancer. My mom is still heart-broken. So, if you think of her, would please pray for her? I would appreciate it.
I apologize for the poor picture quality of our wedding picture…I hope that you still like the LO…Kit credit: Jenny’s Scrap Place
Blessings on your Friday and as always,
yes I”m praying here. I’ve got family members who have experienced and died from cancer so I can relate to this.
Praying for you and for your Mom today. Memory days can be difficult, but I am praying today is filled with happy recollections of the man who helped shape you into the awesome woman of God we see. Blessings my friend.
It’s late, but I just HAD to stop in here to see what you’ve done. How special! Your Dad is very handsome. Love your wedding photo. Bittersweet memories, I’m sure. You’re in my prayers. Hugs!
He’s so handsome, Iris! He must have been a great man to father such a loving young woman! I’m praying for your mom and your family to heal your hearts.
I’ll definitely put in a prayer or two or ten for your mom and your family as well. My “daddy” passed away in 1997 battling cancer so this hit close to home. My mother and I still miss him dearly, but it brings such peace to know that he accepted the Lord as his Savior before he left this earth. Have a blessed weekend!
This is awesome Iris, what a great way to remember someone so special.
Will be praying for your mom…and you! This is a very special memory for you and thanks for sharing with us. Wonderful job on the page.
Blessings Iris.

Oh, what a beautiful tribute. Love the photos. Will surely pray for your mom and family as you reflect on your dad’s life. Having lost both my parents and now my mother-in-law, I can relate. Sending huge hugs and prayers!!
I know it’s a sad anniversary, Iris. You and your mom are in my thoughts today. And the layout is beautiful. I love the background paper you used. It’s very, very nice and the photos are fine.
I know he is SO missed by you, your Mom… and many many more. Thoughts and prayers with your family today, on the anniversary of his passing. Remember, celebrate his life and keep his awesome memories alive. I love that photo of him – he’s such a handsome man. Hope Mom is doing well, today. xox
My thoughts and prayers are so very much with you. That is a call I am dreading myself as my Dad has pancreatic cancer…very severe. May God hold you and you Mom in the palm of his hand.
Hugs.
I am in much prayer for you, and your Mom today. Such a beautiful tribute to your wonderful Dad. He helped create a very loving, caring, beautiful, faith filled woman of God, I know he must have been very proud of you Iris. Take care, I know days like these can be so hard, hold tightly to God, and your memories. I love you.
My prayers are with you and your mom Iris. Our Lord has bottled all our tears and He is always the great comforter!
Bless you dear sister!

I see alot of your father in you! I am still experimenting with digital scrapbooking…you and Amy make it look soooo easy 😉
Denise mentioned that you would appreciate prayer and I’m happy to do so. God bless you today as you remember your father.
My prayers are for your mom and the rest of your family. I have been there and I know how it feels. It’s been years too for me but up to this time, I can’t help but feel sad.
God Bless You Always!
I’ll be praying for you, your mother, and your family. I lost my mom to cancer 10 years ago this month, so I understand.
I want to say My heart and prayers go out to both you and your mother. I lost my Dad on March 12 2001 and it still feels as if it was yesterday. I know that it is hard with Fathers Day around the corner. I loved my Dad dearly and we were very close. But God does truly start to heal things in time and even sometimes can Bring you someone else to help feel the void that is left with out them. You never forget and stop loving them but you can also make room in the heart for some one new at times. Which is what I am learning as I am going to be getting a new stepfather the day before Fathers Day which I feel it was Gods Timing to help feel some the hurt with love. Remember you are always in my heart and prayers
Oh, Iris! It turned out just beautifully. You said the original photo had been damaged. I can’t tell at all.
How about sharing a close-up of that wedding photo? I’d love to see the bride on her day.
Let’s see. We lost my dad to Alzheimer’s three years ago and Jon’s dad to cancer this time last year. It really doesn’t get any easier, does it? It just sort of changes.
Came via Denise’s blog. I know I am late, but wanted to come anyway. I know how devastating it is to lose the father from the home. My FIL passed away in 1999. It changed life “as we knew it.” It doesn’t seem that long ago. He held the family together and he is greatly missed. And as always, we take comfort in the hope of seeing him again. Prayers for you and your family.
Beautiful tribute! I know you are missing your dad as well as your mom. God bless you both with His peace and comfort.
Love you {{hug}}
Thank you for sharing. Will be praying over here.

That is a lovely layout and memorial to your dad. I can’t imagine receiving such news. I can only imagine your mom’s heart ache and how she longs to speak of (and to) the one she loves even today.
