Grandma Clayes

This fine lady was my Sweetheart’s grandma, who passed away this past Wednesday night. Her funeral is today, Saturday, January 6th. I am a little sad, because we won’t be at the funeral since it is in Illinois. The only good thing is that we will see her again, in heaven…

I hope you have a splendid Saturday…

  1. Oh, I am so sorry for your earthly loss, Iris, but know what heaven has gained, and the assurance you will spend eternity with her. Thankfully we do not grieve as those with no hope. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My memory picture is up too.

  2. Lovely woman your hubby’s grandma was. So sad that you won’t be able to attend her funeral. I understand the loss your family feels. My papa passed away January 7, 2002. I always think of him still because he was a truly special man in my life….

  3. I’m sorry for the loss for you and your husband. If it wasn’t for heaven, I just don’t think we could stand these things. I had to miss both of my grandparents’ funerals too and so regret it — but sometimes circumstances and distances are such that it just can’t be helped.

    Great photo for “Memory.”

  4. I am sorry to hear it Iris. I will keep the family in my prayers. I know it makes it harder when you can not be there. Try and have a great weekend though… Enjoying your family that is still with you.

    *hugs*

  7. Sorry to hear of your loss. My brother went to be with the Lord 28 years ago on December 8 and January 1 was his birthday. So with this many years already I still miss him and think of him, and I know I will see him again in heaven. You will be in my prayers.

SO sorry I wasn’t here sooner to know… I was all wrapped up in my own sorrow that I didn’t think about others. Forgive me. *Hugs*
