Believe it or not – I am actually on time this month. Only because this lady has been on my mind all day long…But before I share with you who the Encourager of the Month ~ Nov’06 is, I just want to say something…

I have incredible women on my blogroll!!!! You encourage, you make me laugh, and you make me think. You challenge me to stand up for who I am in Him. Thank you ladies – you are the most awesome women I am privileged to know.

Okay, but now to the encourager: She is direct — she challenges me the most — she is loving — she is honest!!!! My favorite part though: “Check the Bible first and pray about a situation and than make a decision”. Any clue? You are right when you said: Carol from “She Lives“. I have been reading her blog for almost over a year…Not only are her posts wonderful – but the discussions we have via email. Carol makes me dig deeper into His Word — challenge what the world says and waiting for clarity through Scripture.

Carol – I know you have had your blogging blues, but I do hope that it is over. I can see it in your post today! It is wonderful, and written just like the Carol I know. Thank you for always pointing to Scripture and making me want to have an even closer relationship with our Lord and Savior. Thank you for your honesty…You Rock!!!!

BTW – would you please continue to pray for Carol. She has a really bad knee right now (you can read more about here)…

There are some awesome women in the Blogsphere that encourage each other in Christ. They all have their own way, because God has blessed them differently.

For the month of October, I would like to honor E-Mom with my little award. If you have never visited her blog — it is time, my friend. She has wonderful articles and her discussions are just awesome. She always returns to her commenters on her blog, which makes me feel at home.

E-Mom, you have been an encouragement via your blog and your emails to me over this past month. Thank you :smile:.

Thankful Thursday ~ Joy


What Sting My Heart is thankful for this week

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

Oh my, the weeks are flying by; it is not funny anymore. It is almost Thanksgiving :). But I am not waiting until than to share my thanks…

  • I am thankful that the Lord always turns sorrow into joy. I am still sad that the CWO Blog ‘closed down’, but God is working already on something new and hopefully it will bring joy to many.
  • I am thankful for Darlene. She is always there to help out. Even though she was busy getting the October Ezine together, she still had time to pray with me, encourage and even create a button for Laced with Grace.
  • I am thankful for Tracey, Lynn, Heather, Sissy, CJ and Ellen, who are stepping out in faith to be instruments of God’s grace and joy
  • I am thankful for Jamie, Carol, Heather and E-Mom who always encourage me to follow His lead
  • I am thankful for all my visitors, because without them, I wouldn’t be here.

  • I am especially thankful for my Encourager of the Month ~ September (I know I am late ~ almost a week late). She makes me laugh. You see, I like to laugh and since I am not funny, I need fun places I hang out at. She always leaves wonderful comments and encourages me through her kind words. Oh, you want to know who it is? Have you ever been over that Robin’s Place? Oh – you have to check her out. But this week I was the looser, because I missed all the fun. She had a huge celebration and has a new template…So if you never have been at Pensieve, I encourage you to stop by and have a piece of cake…Robin, I hope you will except this little award of mine?

Thankful Thursday ~ Encouragement


What Sting My Heart is thankful for this week

“If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.”
~ Philippians 2:1-2

  • I am thankful that, when I open my Bible, He will encourage me through Scripture. He has a way to point me to the one Scripture I need to read on any given day.
  • I am thankful for the body of Christ on the Internet. I have seen many women starting to share their faith, encourage each other in the walk, be there for each other and pray for each other.
  • I am thankful for all the new visitors ~ I love you ladies. You are a true encouragement to me to continue with Blogging.
  • I am thankful that Beth Moore will, once again, visit the Metro Phoenix area (thank you Christie for the information). If you live in this area and would like to worship the Lord of Lords with women of faith, mark your calendar for December 1st & 2nd. Beth will be accompanied by Travis Cottrell, who is truly a blessing and his worship songs are an encouragement to me on a daily basis.
  • I am thankful that, if I need to get a break from the hectic life in Phoenix, my Sweetheart will make a mini-trip with me this weekend (hopefully it will be getting cooler).
  • I am thankful for women like Amy, who are encouraged coming here and find this Blog to be worthy of an award. Thank you for presenting Sting My Heart with the “Blessing Award” for the month of September.

What a busy week it has been, but I am thankful for that. It is great to keep myself busy, because that means I am staying out of trouble :wink:.

Find thankfulness in the little things of life, so you are not overwhelmed in stressful situations. You can even be thankful for those stressful times, because than you will have to lean on Him and not your own understanding. What are you thankful for this week? Would you care to share with me?
