I had many thoughts come to mind reading this week’s quote — and to be honest – I have no idea where I will go with this post …
I have talked about my dad several times on this blog. He was a wonderful man (yeah – still miss him after 16 years being gone). He was full of wisdom. Sometimes it makes me sad that I can’t remember his face very well – but two things I remember very well – his kindness and his warm smile. I could go to my dad with anything – he took care of me. He taught me many things. My mom always tells me that I have became just like him. And to be honest – I am glad that he planted the seeds in me. Especially the seed fearing and loving God…
There is no greater joy for me than sharing the seed of God’s love with others. Have I ever told you that my great-grandfather from my dad’s side was a pastor? And have I ever told you that I wanted to step out into ‘public’ ministry and follow the footsteps of my great-grandfather? Yeah – I even took four college courses — Old and New Testament, church history (general) and Lutheran doctrine…If God would open up a door today — I would step right through it. As you might have seen above – He rekindled my passion to reach out. To share the Gospel. To let the whole world know that they are loved, if they just would allow Him to be loved. I want to “Shout His Fame” from every roof-top!
You see, the seeds that were planted in my childhood, just needed His spark to grow vast in my heart…
And other seeds fell into good soil and produced grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.” And he said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” ~ Mark 4:8-9 (NIV)
