I am from…

I am from potting soil, from Miracle Grow and made for a specific purpose.Loni's Contest

I am from the back-yard. I am from the family of the lilies; and my color is blue.

I am from a family of hope and I am joyful; from Peter and Kim and we are known as the Brueck family.

I am from the joy in the morning and relaxing at night. From being the apple of His eye and His precious thing.

I am from hope that comes from the grace that flows from His throne alone, and have been sealed with the Holy Spirit.

I’m from German soil , Kartoffel Salad and Wuerstchen.

From the long line of believers who trust that salvation was paid for at the cross, once and for all; the hope is only found at the foot of the cross, and that Christ paid for it on my behalf.

I am from dust and to dust I shall return until He comes for my body to glorify it.

Tackled and Accomplished – Part 2

Tackle It Banner

Yeah – I can’t believe it, but I tackled another project. As you might remember, Janice at 5 Minutes for Mom has challenged us last week to take on a project each week. This week’s project is one that is really close to me. Yup – always right in front of me when I sit down at my PC to check my emails or visit my favorite blogs…It is yucky and every time I say (just like the laundry thing, which btw is still caught up ): “Never will I let it pileup again!!!”

Paperwork Mess

Yeah – right!!! This is what I see (and now you – yeah I shop at Safeway) – my messy paperwork – not pretty .

I just can’t believe that I always let two or three weeks pile up and than have to sit for an hour to sort it out. It would be great if I could just do it on a daily basis. I sit here anyway, right?

The piled up paperwork reminds me off my ‘piled up junk’ spiritually. I don’t take care of it as I should. Sure, I read my devotions, remember a Bible verse here and there. But do I really dig deep? Not always. I know I will miss the LBY Bible study. But I think I will just dig this summer on my own. I have a couple of studies I really would like to do this summer…- Sorry, got a little side-tracked there…

I am sure you are curious what my desk looks like right now (11pm on Monday night)?

Accomplished

YEAH! – Done for tonight…I hope that I can keep it up this time. Believe me, there some bigger project I could tackle right now, but I am not ready for them yet. Thanks Janice for getting me started! Maybe next week I tackle one that is much bigger and much more uglier (is that a word? ‘Uglier’?).

So, what did you tackle this week? Let me know and I’ll check it out (after work). I would also like to add your link below, so please do leave a comment.

Tackled and Mission Accomplished Part I

Tackle It Banner

Well, Janice had a great idea and I started with my weekly nightmare. I don’t feel so bad anymore about my weekness in household chores, because I know what I am not alone (right?). You see, I do not like doing laundry very much (actually I don’t like it at all). And this past week I let it pile up again. Usually I wash laundry twice during the week (after work) and do the rest on the weekend. The washing is really not the problem – the IRONING is my weekness.

See what happens if I don’t do at least two loads during the week and iron the shirts as they are dry? I get my weekend mess. Than I end up doing laundry for an entire day and have to iron at least for couple of hours .

Mess 1

But if I am a good gal – my laundry room looks like this . Yes, much better.

Accomplished 1

Why I keep doing it to myself, I will never know. It is so much easier to keep up with the laundry than spending Memorial Day playing catch-up with it. Every time I spend an entire day, I tell myself: “Never again”. I do well for several weeks and than I relaps.

So, what did you tackle this week? Let me know in the comment section and I’ll add your link below. Thanks Janice for getting me motivated again to stay on-top with my laundry.

The ABC Tag

Carol at She Lives tagged me with the ABC meme (‘because I know theirs won’t be as boring as mine‘ – I don’t think so) . But I’ll give it a shot anyway…

Accent: What do you think? German of course – you can even hear it from my keyboard .

Bible Book that I like: Actually I like the Bible from cover to cover, but to just pick one – hm? Ephesians, especially Eph 2:8-10 – 😀

Dog or Cat: Dog – have two of those around.

Essential Electronics: My PC!!!! Wish for a laptop – but have to save up to get one. Hopefully soon.
