Tackle Tuesday ~ Change Continued…

Tackle It Banner

I am glad that there is Tackle it Tuesday. Otherwise my house would stay boring. You might remember that I started last week to change our bedroom. So, this week I did get the curtains. Yeah ~ I was surprised to find them this quick. But Ikea is only 3 minutes from my current job, so I hopped over there at lunch time today.

My hubby is glad that I made the change to the curtains. The curtains you see in the first picture are as old as our marriage ~ 23 years. Hubby is happy that the ‘fruffu’ is gone. He tells me that after 23 years ~ gotta love him…And when he is happy, I am happy .

Old Curtains

Well the new curtains don’t have any ‘fruffu’ ~ just a plain color (purple with gold). Too bad though that I couldn’t really capture the mood with the photo. It looks really cool, just not in the picture .

New Curtains

Amazing what I can do with just a few changes…Totally new room!!! Thank you Janice for creating Tackle It Tuesday. With this ‘meme’, I change my house, one tackle at a time…So, what did you tackle today? Care to share? Let me know and I’ll stop by after work.

Have a blessed Tuesday …

Tackle It Tuesday ~ A Change…

Tackle It Banner

…in plans that is. Okay, so this is really not a ‘clean-up’ project. And, I was going to tackle our guest/blogger bedroom first to redecorate. BUT – we found a new bed-spread this past weekend. The first time ever, that my Sweetheart and I both liked at first sight.
Here is what the bedroom looked like before:

Before

Pretty boring colors – right? But look at it now:

New

Whoot ~ pretty ~ No? Anyway, I like the new color scheme. But now, the walls look too ~ oh I don’t know ~ hm ~ WHITE…So, now I am looking to do something to the walls, get new curtains…you know the whole thing. Can not believe that I am looking to redo our bedroom. Oh well!

Thank you Janice for creating Tackle Tuesdays. My new motto for my shores and things I want to do around my house: one project at a time. Did you tackle today? Please let me know and I’ll stop by in the morning or after work…

Have a blessed Tuesday .

Tackle Tuesday ~ The Dresser

Tackle Banner

Yeah, didn’t see one of those banners for awhile here – hehe. Okay, my project this week doesn’t seem much (and you might not see a difference), but it took me an hour to get it done…

You see, when I went to the store I saw a nice little bouquet of fresh-cut-flowers and I purchased them. Well, coming home, I wanted to put them on the dresser in our bedroom. Our dresser was all dusty and had some candle wax on it. Does that happen to you too? You didn’t plan on cleaning something and than you spend an hour on it. So, I figured, since I am already doing a project, why not grab the camera and take a picture before and after …

So, here is the before:

All Yucky with Dust

Now you are thinking: messy??? Well, yes it was ~ trust me on that one. You didn’t see all the fine little dust laying on top. Did you notice the little stuffed animals on top. 😳 – talk about nasty! First I started to vacuum them off. Didn’t get the job done. So, yours truly took the animals and threw them in the wash machine. It worked. Washed them in the gentle cycle with Woolite and voila – no more dust…But I have to admit. One of my little stuffed animals didn’t make it back on the shelf. It fell apart…*Sigh* – So, here is the dresser, all shiny and pretty, including the little bouquet:

Shiny makes me Happy

Did you tackle a little project like me, or did you tackle a huge one? I really have a big one to tackle and I always find an excuse for not doing it. Right now: it is too hot in Arizona…Well, I am glad Janice is back and she keeps me going on projects around the house :)…Happy Tuesday to all visitors today.

Tackle Tuesday ~ The Outdoors

Tackle Banner

You would not believe what I tackled this weekend…You see, in Arizona during the hot summers (and I am talking hot ~ 110+), we don’t cook much inside the house. First the smell that lingers through the house and it heats up the house. Anyway, we use our BBQ a lot and I haven’t cleaned it for awhile. So…I tackled the grill on Sunday afternoon. We wanted to have fish tacos, so I thought I would get the grease off. Oh my, what a task. First I scrubbed it with the brush, but it didn’t work very well. So, I got the garden hose. Haha – got the stuff off in no time.

Well at least the surface is clean. The rest, I didn’t, because while I was cleaning the grilling surface, a dust storm approached from the south. No wonder I was so cranky. Yeah, I get cranky when the weather changes. Needless to say, my weekend was not very productive…As I had mentioned to Janice, I didn’t get a before picture, but I have a picture of the clean grilling surface:

Accomplished 5

So, we did get our fish tacos after all on Sunday night. Did you know that you could grill fish-sticks? I didn’t either. But my hubby suggested it ~ like I said, we didn’t wanted to heat up the house…

Little up-date on my previous projects. The drawer is still organized, the laundry is still caught-up and the corner in our living room is still clean…But…remember the paper-stack? Well, I have to confess, it is back….argk…I can’t believe it! It keeps sneaking up on me. I guess, I have another project to tackle tonight…

So, what did you tackle today? What about your previous tackled areas? Let me know and I will stop by as soon as I can, either in the morning or after work…Thank you Janice for keeping me in-line with my chores. I have to say, I even tackled my vacuum chore tonight. I know, kind of silly, since you really can’t see my house, but I feel I need to get things done around the house because of you, my fellow tacklers .

Have a blessed Tuesday – hope to see you soon…
