Ah, Yes, Summer Heat…

You Should Spend Your Summer at the Beach

You’re a free spirit who is always thinking of new ways to have fun.
And you don’t just love summer… you live for it.
So, you really should blow off your responsibilities and head to the beach!

So, how are you spending your summer? I wish my Sweetheart and I could take our trip down to San Carlos. Well, not this summer, but maybe at Thanksgiving .

So, have you planned any trips this year to the beach? Or do you spend the hot days rather in the mountains? Please do share.

Have a blessed Friday .

  1. I got “in the city”….but I think that was wrong. What I should have gotten was Antarctica-or anywhere else equally as cold. Cant’ stand the heat, or the humidity-which stinks because I accually live by the beach-go figure!

  2. Spending my summer waking up at my normal, school-year time every, single morning even though there is no reason why I can’t sleep later. Argh!

Maybe I’d sleep better at the beach? Yeah. I’m sure of it.

  3. Well, no trips to the beach for us this summer. Gotta get through this melanoma thing first. Hubby is so light-complected–he’s burns like a french fry in the sun.
    Hope you’re doing well.

  4. We usually hit the beach – well, we were use to living at the beach. Now that we’ve moved away from the beach – we still plan to visit but haven’t this summer. Atleast not yet. We’ve spent way to much money on other things that we can’t. Eek.

  5. I’m spending my summer at……..(drumroll please)….HOME! But I wish I were spending it at the beach. Or mountains. No trip for me this summer. But I’ll prolly be going to the mountians at Christmas!

  6. But we do spend a lot of time at the creek and pool. So that’s not too bad. We have a beach……it’s just still full of hurricane debris. Although it is getting better, I don’t trust it yet.

  7. We leave Sunday for our mountain retreat at the Lodge returning the following Saturday after a hop over to Knoxville to meet the new grandson. Then the following Friday, we head to Knoxville to pick up the youngest stepdaughter and head north to upper state New York with a stop over at Niagra Falls.

Then I have to come home and find a job! This time I really have to find one! 🙁

  8. You Should Spend Your Summer on a Road Trip

For you, the summer is all about possibilities. And you’re not going to be tied down.
This is the time for you to embark on an epic road trip, with no ultimate destination in mind.
You know you’ll have a ton of crazy adventures… at least until you run out of cash!

And that is exactly what we are doing!! well, not until we run out of cash, we know better, lol. And not the beach, since we live close by: first the French Alps and later on the Atlantic side of Spain. You’ll read all about it, you know where *wink*. Happy friday, sunday is coming closer!

  9. Well, I live twenty minutes from the beach, so if it got too bad I could just hop in the car and I’m there 😉 I love all nature though…I love the mountains in the winter, the ocean in the summer, the desert in the spring and any country side with plenty of color changing trees in the fall!

  10. Lots of pool swimming, lots of computering, lots of shuttling kids around to activities or off to camp. And this next week…VBS! No traveling for us this summer, just began a new job here. =(

It is hot isn’t it? *mugginess*

  11. well, I guess you already know my answer, since we just came back from the beach!! I’d live there if I could!!!

    Blessings!

  12. beach, early in the morning… devotions with dew on the sand and sun on my face……….waves breaking at me feet..

    that’s what I’m talkin bout! 🙂

I leave tues for CAMPING… beach and friends and family- yay!

  13. Spending our summer at home with the exception of a quick trip to Arkansas to visit my mom-in-law and a nephew’s graduation from college. You’ll have to tell me more about Black Cohosh. Maybe I’ll go google it now.

    Love ya,
    Have a blessed weekend!

  14. I absolutely love the Ocean. I live in Texas now but lived in Florida first. I so miss the Ocean. I try to go as often as I can and am planning to take my son soon to Miami and Clearwater beach.. If I could I would have a house built out in the middle of the Ocean, oh yes I would…

  15. I’m five minutes from the beach so I’m blessed to get to go pretty often. There are lots of tourists here in Virginia Beach, but we know places that the tourists haven’t found yet. Also, my sister has a Navy decal so we can get on some of the bases here and some have their own beach. I’m all about the mountains in the fall. Virginia is great because it has nice beaches and beautiful mountains. Then we have Williamsburg with all of it’s history like Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown. Then we have Water Country USA in Williamsburg as well. We live about forty-five minutes from Williamsburg and about four hours from the mountains so we get to enjoy it all with different seasons. I also love the Outer Banks of NC which is about an hour away. Okay, I’m starting to brag now. Anyway, I love where I live because each season brings a new place to go and explore without having to travel a great distance. When I go to Williamsburg I feel like I’m away on vacation, but it’s just a short drive home.
