I want to share with the Blog Party visitors a little summary about what you find here on Sting My Heart and a little of who I am…I am real and Sting My Heart is a collection of my thoughts and my life in Arizona…

  • I started blogging in April of 2005. Not many visitors in the first year, but I kept plugging along. Not sure what has changed. Maybe my writing got better over time (or my topics). But I am loving every minute of it…

  • God has called me back into His flock after moving me 6,000 miles from my family and friends in Germany…My desert dwelling has been good for my relationship with God. He made me realize that I can only depend on Him–His love, grace and mercy…

  • I love to share about my marriage, our son and once in a while I share about my life in Germany…

  • By God’s grace, I have an incredible relationship with my husband. I love to share that with my readers–A LOT!

  • I love to encourage other women to be a Mary in a Martha’s world…That is why you can find me also at Laced with Grace & CWO Internet Cafe…And once a month I host IOW sponsored by CWO. I am hosting this up-coming week (Tuesday) with a quote by my favorite theologian–Martin Luther…

  • My favorite hobby (besides spending time with my Sweetheart) is photography. All pictures you will find on this blog are taken by me and my little digital camera (or scanned from my regular pictures). I hope you enjoy them…

  • I love dogs–we have two of them–Zoey (a crazy female) & Bandit (an old male)…

  3. I didn’t realize you were from Arizona. I just back from there today! It was a great layover except for the part we got lost and ended up in a scary neighborhood! LOL!

  5. Did I ever tell you that I am from Arizona? I lived there from when I was nine..until just 2 years ago when the military moved us to Colorado Springs. Honestly, I don’t miss it a whole lot. But that’s because I was born in Connecticut. I loved the green and changes in the seasons. So, when we first moved to Arizona, it was tough for me. So, I love that I have the seasons once again. Although, it’s been quite a winter in Colorado and I am ready for the sunshine.
    I don’t miss burning my hands on the steering wheel in the summer….or having M&M’s melt all over my car.
    But I do miss the Arizona sunshine some days! Anyway, enjoy the party. Check out my festive site. :o)

  21. Hi Iris, thoguht I would check in this morning. Checked with hubby about the spam issue–he agreed that it sounds like you were discovered by the spammers and said he started using another spm filter with Akismet, I think it is called Bad Behavior or Behavin Badly or something like that, he is supposed to send me the URL. He said between the two it is doing much better.

    Have fun with the party–I am not a party person so am not joining in (I actually would like to but feel the Lord saying and emphatc “no”.)

  50. I love your site. Did you design this? I need more creation in mine. Also, I am doing the Mary Bible Study now and love it! I think it is great for women and it gives a great perspective in our lives to make us stop and “soak up Jesus”! Love your blog! Stop by and visit when you get time.
