Wow – I am Honored

Iris Kit

As some of you know, I am really into digi-scrapping. Why you might ask? Well, most of the photos of our son’s baby photos are collecting dust in a box. I started digi-scrapping last year which is really a wonderful tool to preserve memories (you can save the LO’s on DVD’s).

I also have been working with a wonderful designer from New Zealand. Over the past 5 months I have learned so much from her. I am forever grateful for that. Well, long story short, Michelle created a kit from a color scheme I had submitted to her and named the kit after me πŸ˜› . Don’t you just love what she came up with? I do!!!! The coolest news – the kit you see above is on sale in Michelle’s Gotta Pixel store until November 15th! Head on over and check out the details on the kit.

I would love to share this kit with you and decided to purchase two $5 gift-certificates from Gotta Pixel. Please leave me a note in the comment section (with a valid email address to send the certificate to). You have until Wednesday, January 16th to sign up for the impromptu giveaway. I will announce the two winners on Thankful Thursday.

Have a blessed weekend….

  1. Iris — I saw this kit on GP’s website & commented there. It is a wonderful kit — just beautiful colors, patterns & elements. I think it is very special that Michelle named it after you. All the reasons she listed are so true. You are an asset to her team and to GP. The layouts you do and comments you leave are so appreciated by everyone — I know I appreciate them. I don’t think I am eligible to receive one of your gift certificates since I am a Moderator, but I think this is a really nice thing for you to do. I know whoever receives this kit will treasure it.

  2. The kit is beautiful. So fitting that she should name it after you. I too am pretty sure that I am not eligible for the free kit, although I would love it! What a sweet present for someone!

  3. You are lucky to have this wonderful kit made & named in your honor. I commented on it on Michelle’s blog. Congrats to you!

  4. Wow!! That is so cool, that someone made a kit named after you! How neat is that! I’m just into scrapbooking, and have been so interested in digital scrapbooking, but don’t have the programs to do anythign with it – altho a girlfriend does. So…if I win..and it’s a digital thing…well, she’ll just have to help me! By the way…CD is in the mail!

  5. I think the kit is beautiful and well named. And, so sweet of you do give it away! You are truly a blessing!

  6. ………….Is that fun or what to have a kit in your name………. I am brand new at the scrapping.. Have a box of pictures in my closet from years and years ago… As I grow older I am coming to understand how important it is to pass these along to my son Chris… I lost all my pictures in 1994 in house fire and those were the pictures of my boys from the age of 3 and 7 back………… πŸ™
……… but family has been helping me collect pictures that they might have… I am sorry to say that it has taken me so long to get them all in order but any beginning is better than no beginning… I started this December with an album for my son Chris… I made three pages and gave it to him for Christmas. He is 38 and he was so thrilled with just that simple gift…………..
………..The first three pages were kind of … well how do you say it……….. underachieved !!!!!!!! ahhahah but my goal is a couple of pages a month to add to his album……….. I hope I get better at it………… I will take lessons from your blog…………….

I am praying the spirit of laughter on all my comments today…….. it is good medicine

  7. Iris – I was just stopping by to see whose beautiful kit I was using to make this quickpage over at Hummie’s Challenge. I really love your first kit there. The word art is really great and the charms are pretty cool too! How cool to have a kit named after you! Since my external hard drive just crashed and I lost over 300 gb of stuff, I could use a free kit right now. LOL. Please drop my name in the hat. I should have the quickpage and sample layout I did with your great kit in a little while. Blessings.
