“Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.
Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!” ~ Psalm 32:10-11 (ESV)
Yeah – Thankful Thursday again. I know that I haven’t been around much–just needed a little refreshing break. I needed to refocus on a couple of things 😛 . I am glad that the Lord refreshed my soul…I even have a decent post to share over at CWO on Thursday (hope you’ll stop by). I will post the link later tonight to it.
Here is what I am thankful for this week (although there is much more…)
- I am thankful for God’s love. It was so wonderful to just ‘hang out’ with Him over the last couple of days. Just praying, reading, meditating…my soul longed for it…
- I am thankful that God is using the Laced with Grace team blog to encourage women from around the globe to have a closer walk with our Lord. For the first time, LWG hit the 2,500 visitor mark last month. Thank you gals for your devotion to Him and your commitment to LWG…
- I am thankful for EMI Records. They contacted me to listen to some new music. My first little taste was Mandisa’s two tracks from her first CD that will be released in July. I will share more in detail about it hopefully on Friday. All I will share today – POWERFUL voice…
- I am thankful for fresh fruit. I love cherries and grapes. The are on sale right now in our local grocery store–Yummo…
- I am thankful that I can drink everything for free at work–coffee, water, soda…at my heart’s delight. Especially since we should be drinking a lot during this hot season. Can you believe we will hit 115 by this weekend – yikes….
- I am thankful that my dear friend Laurel will be coming back to Phoenix in February…Did you read her post about her brother in sweet Sister-In-Love expecting twins. How cool is that? I am so happy for them…
- I am thankful that I had time the last couple days to visit an ‘old’ friend’s blog, but also had time to explore a new blog. I am really excited about Leigh’s blog. She not only shares my love for Him, but guess what she sells? Purses. And not just any old purses. Nope…She sells really neat ones with Bible verses on them. Why I am so thrilled? Well check it out:
Did you see it? One of the purses has my LIFE verse on it (can you guess which one 🙂 ). Hopefully Leigh can ship it as soon as she gets back from a speaking engagement in NC…
So, what are you thankful for this week? I hope you care to share…Leave your link below. As your time permits, please visit others.
I hope to see you also at CWO tomorrow 😛 . Be blessed today and as always…

Iris,
I am so thankful for Thankful Thursday. This week, we have been struggling with hopelessness in our home. How interesting that today as I sat to write my Thankful Thursday list, God used this time to renew my heart, my mind, and my spirit….and now, as I typed the security word…..HOPE….it became clear…..when we trust in our LORD, we always have hope!
You have blessed me, especially, this day.
Diane

I am amazed, too, at how God is using the web to weave a loving circle of women meeting in His name…
I enjoyed reading your list today. We all need a break from the day to day rush of life. I am going away in August and am planning on taking one or two of those days as a mini-retreat for myself, a refresher for me.
Stay cool and enjoy the fruit!!

Hi Iris:
Glad you had a chance to rest and get refreshed. That is so vital for our mental and spiritual health. Try to stay cool . . . I saw Phoenix on the news at 112 degrees and thought of you!
Happy Thursday!
Hi Iris! Thank you for hosting TT again this week! My post is up but late! I enjoyed reading your list and I especially miss fresh fruit! We mostly have frozen fruit here and so I miss the yummy fresh fruit back home. I have to go check out those purses they look so cute! Thanks again!! Blessings!
115?! You poor thing! I was watching the news the other night and they were featuring Phoenix and the temps. I was thinking of you. Not that it really matters at 115, but is it the humid hot, or the drier air hot? Does that make sense to you? Just wondering.
So wonderful a thankful list after your refreshing break…each time I read your thankful list, it make me feel your warm heart for life, for the lord, for everything…..
